This takes about 3 minutes.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<div class=\"step-top\">\n<div class=\"container\">\n<h3><strong>Step 2<\/strong> Attend a belay demo<\/h3>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"step-bottom\">\n<p>We show you how to hold the rope (belay) for your partner \u2013 climbing is done in pairs. We also give you some practical tips on safety and how to find your way around.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<div class=\"step-top\">\n<div class=\"container\">\n<h3><strong>Step 3<\/strong> Practical evaluation<\/h3>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"step-bottom\">\n<p>You belay your partner on our belay instruction wall with our staff attending, so you can demonstrate your new skills. You then receive your belaying and climbing accreditation. The whole process takes around 10 minutes.<\/p>\n<p>Lead Climbing &#8211; A Proficiency Test is required. Since the most commonly held fears are the fear of heights and the fear of falling, rock climbing is a fantastic way to conquer these fears. Climbers use harnesses which serve as a safety measure, preventing climbers from falling when they lose their balance or grip.
