For everyone\u2019s safety, Sydney Indoor Climbing Gym has updated the belay devices permitted for lead climbing at St Peters.<\/p>\n

Approved Devices<\/h3>\n

Only the following devices may be used for lead climbing:<\/p>\n

\u2022 Petzl GriGri, GriGri 2, GriGri+<\/strong>
\n\u2022 Petzl NEOX*<\/strong>
\n\u2022 Edelrid Pinch, Jul\u00b2, Mega Jul<\/strong>
\n\u2022 Black Diamond Pilot<\/strong><\/p>\n

*<\/strong>To be assessed on the Petzl NEOX<\/strong>, climbers must have held a lead pass on another approved device for at least two months.<\/p>\n

Existing Approvals<\/h3>\n

If you\u2019ve previously been assessed by SICG staff on one of the devices below, you may continue using it as long as you show your valid lead pass:<\/p>\n

\n\u2022 Wild Country Revo<\/strong>
\n\u2022 Mad Rock Lifeguard<\/strong>
\n\u2022 CAMP Matik<\/strong><\/p>\n

Ongoing Safety Checks<\/h3>\n

Staff will continue to check climbers on the belay device they choose to use. Only listed devices are permitted.<\/strong>
